Overview
The Human Resources Generalist contributes to the goals of the Human Resources department by partnering with the HR Director to manage day-to-day operations, functions and duties of the department.
Responsibilities:
· Manage the day to day administration of US benefit programs, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance coverage; Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), commuter benefits, COBRA.
· Partner with the Director to support the entire US employee base of 600+ employees
· Serve as benefits point of contact for employee inquiries, while developing ways to streamline operational processes and day-to-day inquiries
· Manage U.S. and Canada time off programs including PTO, short/long term disability leaves, personal, family and other leave programs
· Prepare quarterly and annual HR metrics for senior management
· Ability to answer HR questions and provide guidance to employees and managers on HR inquiries
· Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
· Proactively support the delivery of HR processes and manage HR projects
· Prepare and issue official HR documentation as directed
· Assist with the new hire onboarding process including document collection background check reviewing
· Assist in the coordination of various programs: corporate events, employee engagement events
· Understand and communicate company policies to employees
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree required
· 3-5 years HR experience
· Experience dealing with confidential and sensitive information required
· Working knowledge of HR practices and legalities to hiring a plus
· Outstanding organizational and follow-through skills. Strict attention to detail is a must
· Excellent interpersonal skills. Highly visible position
· Very strong computer skills, working knowledge of an HRIS. *Outlook skills must be excellent
· High level of resourcefulness and strong team player
· Ability to multi-task is essential, with a keen sense of priorities and sense of urgency
· Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
