TMP VP to Speak at Conference Board Diversity Conferences

,

3/27/2007

Ron Owens, Vice President, Diversity & Inclusion at TMP Worldwide, will speak at each of The Conference Board's Annual Diversity Conferences to be held in San Diego on March 29-30, in New York City on April 25-26, and in Chicago on May 23-24. The Conference Board is a leading business membership organization, creating and disseminating knowledge about management and the marketplace to help businesses strengthen their performance and better serve society. They serve businesses globally, with a network extending into nearly 60 countries.

The theme of the 2007 Diversity Conference is "Rhythms of Our World: Examining and Honoring Our Uniqueness and Multiplicities." During his session, called "The New America: America's Changing Demographics," Owens will discuss how the recruitment paradigm has shifted in America and what that means for business. Ron will deliver strategies and examples through key success stories that build a culture of inclusion in the workplace - to make diversity and inclusion a way of life rather than a statistical goal.

A thirty-five year veteran of the advertising industry and a leader in diversity and inclusion, Ron's extensive experience includes tenures at several of the world's largest advertising agencies. Prior to joining TMP Worldwide in 2006, he was President of Nclusive Advertising, a multicultural marketing ad firm based in Bethesda, MD. Entering the advertising business at NW Ayer Advertising, Ron helped to develop and introduce one of the most acclaimed recruitment campaigns of all time: the U.S. Army's "Be All That You Can Be," which 25 years later still has high recall. Ron has also served at Pitney Bowes, a Fortune 500 Company, as Director of Worldwide Advertising & Public Relations.

As the cornerstone of the session, Owens will discuss how the profound demographic shifts currently taking place in the United States affect business, and he'll offer strategies to recruit effectively in this environment. As minority groups continue to grow, building a professional setting inclusive for employees of all backgrounds is imperative for business success.
