TMP Employees Get Digital

Last month, TMP Worldwide held its annual Sales and Management Conference in New Orleans - and afterwards, lent a helping hand in the ongoing restoration of the city.

TMP Worldwide's team of volunteers worked to help restore famed Storyland, a fairytale theme park adjacent to City Park's Carousel Gardens and New Orleans Botanical Garden. City Park - New Orleans' largest recreation area and host to 11 million visitors each year - suffered an estimated $43 million in damages from Hurricane Katrina.

TMP volunteers cleaned and painted the park's storybook characters and cleared weeds and overgrowth from gardens. Michelle Abbey, President and CEO of TMP Worldwide, said, "We made a conscious choice to hold our annual sales meeting in New Orleans to help the city rebound, and making a little extra effort to contribute to the ongoing restoration of New Orleans was an easy decision."

Abbey urged all companies to volunteer and do business in New Orleans, adding, "It's one of the best ways to show solidarity with New Orleans residents, who are working hard to rebuild after this unprecedented natural disaster."
