It's a great feeling to work for a company so dedicated to a client's mission. This week marks a new milestone for TMP. Our company announced a new scholarship program that will focus on alleviating the national nursing shortage by helping to increase the pool of doctoral-prepared nursing faculty at schools nationwide.
We'll be funding and awarding five scholarships this fall, and will work to find the candidates part-time jobs with key facilities to enhance the award recipients' clinical experiences as well as provide them with health benefits during their schooling. After graduation, these students are expected to teach at a nursing school for at least one year for every year that they receive a scholarship.
Being able to offer our resources to address the changing recruitment needs within the healthcare industry in ways like this enables all of us at TMP to give back to our clients who truly enrich not only our business, but often our lives.
