When Katrina roared into the Gulf, Fluor rolled into action. After initial reports of the extent of the devastation, Fluor immediately contacted TMP Advertising and Communications to see how we could help them hire between four and six thousand addition employees to address the repair and rebuilding of destroyed systems and infrastructures. The relief effort demands the hiring of additional talent in virtually every civil craft, from electrician to pipe fitter. In fact, new hiring may eventually top 10,000.
TMP met with Fluor and immediately took action. Within 24 hours, we recommended a strategy and media plan that included quick-to-market solutions, from an extensive email campaign to listings on Monster.com, the leading online careers and recruitment resource. Once the plan was approved, TMP rocked into action with new creative for online and print, and began placing media. The end result: Fluor is now hiring aggressively and quickly, coming to the aid of the people and businesses of the Gulf region. But there is still a long way to go.
